17 February 2009: Members of SAIA meet with Roseann O'Reilly Runte, President of Carleton University, to discuss having the university host a debate on the academic boycott of Israel, much like the one held at Ryerson University in November 2007. The students are promptly told that such a request will not be considered.
6 February 2009: Sixteen Carleton faculty members signed a letter, published in The Charlatan, requesting a public debate on the academic boycott of Israel.
